Summer 2024 Kenya Mission Trip

On May 25th a team of 13 incredible people from West End Community church (Nashville) packed their bags and took a flight to Kenya. The joy of the Lord was evident in their eyes. I asked one of the members of the group why he was excited about going on a mission trip and he said, “A life worth living is a life spent serving God’s people, preaching the gospel to the lost and inviting them to the Kingdom.” This is profound to me!!

The mission trip allowed many to see first hand the work ATL has been doing for so many years -  walking alongside Pastors in Africa, who are zealous in serving their churches and their communities but have never had any theological training. These pastors give their lives, serving in the most difficult conditions every day, doing everything they can to spread the Gospel and meeting unending needs of their congregation.

Training and giving the pastors tools of preaching is our passion!

We are grateful to West End Community church for partnering with us in this venture. One of the most exciting things that the team did was Vacation Bible School for the Masai children. This was the first ever VBS in this part of the world. Most of the kids heard about Jesus for the first time from this team. With excitement our host Pastor, Peter Esho said, “I have never seen this before. Our children are very excited to learn about Jesus for the first time. We have been praying for your team to come partner with us and train us how to handle the word of God correctly. We did not know what to expect, but we have seen God in this place!! We are glad that we received your mission team with open arms!!”

The highlight of this summer mission trip was the visit to a girls boarding high school. The team ministered to over three hundred students! The lives of these girls were transformed for eternity.

African Transformational Leadership endeavors to support these needy pastors in their ministries especially in helping them start discipleship groups, ranging from men's and women's Bible Studies, children's ministry, and so forth. We also give them Bibles in their local dialects so that they are able to read and understand the Scripture, teach it and preach it correctly.

We thank God for taking care of the team and bringing us back safely. One of the team members said to me. “The trip was exciting. We explored this new place full of incredible people. We left Kenya inspired to affect change in our own lives, homes, and our community. We brought back a resilient spirit that was the heartbeat of our mission trip. I want to go back!!!”

Would you prayerfully consider going with us in summer of next year, 2025?

You might be an answer to specific needs within the local church and community in this remote part of Masai land.

Kindly consider supporting us financially. Know that every gift is tax deductible and will be an encouragement to the local pastors, their churches and to the community.

Thank You!

Your prayers and continued financial support for African Transformational Leadership is having an incredible impact!

ALL GLORY BE TO GOD!
